Goal: Workshop participants will gain a general understanding of hazard mitigation plans and their importance, as well as develop skills to build long-term mitigation strategies to reduce risk within their community.
Objective 1:Participants will define hazard mitigation and identify the benefits of mitigation planning.
Objective 2: Participants will understand the benefits of engagement from community officials, stakeholders, and the public during the planning process.
Objective 3: Participants will develop hazard profiles and identify areas of risk within their community.
Objective 4: Participants will identify mitigation opportunities within their communities
