On Thursday September 20, 2018, two free floodplain management course will be held at the Community Meeting Room in the Grand Island City Hall located at 100 East First Street.
The courses will include:
Basic Floodplain Management 8:30 am to Noon: Are you new to floodplain administration? Are you an expereinced floodplain administrator that needs a refresher? Are you unsure of what to do if development is proposed in your community's floodplain? This course covers basic floodplain management concepts to effectively perform your floodplain administration duties.
Violations and Enforcement 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm: Sometimes it can be difficult to gain compliance with an obstinante developer or property owner. Join LeRoy Sievers, NeDNR Legal Counsel, and Chuck Chase as they discuss several compliance tools and how they should be used to gain compliance.
