We will be touring the NPPD Kearney Dam. This tour is free, however it is limited to 40 people so register now!
The tour will be broken up into three stations and should take about an hour.
- Station 1: History of the dam, why it was built, the canal system, water rights etc.
- Station 2: Features of the dam, inspection of the dam, the downstream inundation area, the Emergency Action Plan
- Station 3: Tour the hydro plant.
Directions: Parking is available on the south side of University Drive between 15th Ave and W 29th Street in the parking lot on the west side of Foster Field (UNK Football Stadium).
