SECOND NATIONAL STORMWATER DAY CELEBRATED BY NMSA - NMSA has officially established Nov 16 as National Stormwater Day in recognition of the day the MS4 program was established (Nov 16, 1990). To honor this occasion, NMSA is hosting a free webinar on Fri, Nov 15 from 1-2:30pm (Eastern) and continues to support a website dedicated to National Stormwater Day - https://stormwater.day/. This website provides access to media toolkits associated with National Stormwater Day including logos, flyers and short videos associated with National Stormwater Day - all are welcome to use these resources to spread the word! Additional resources are available from other stormwater awareness efforts from around the country at the website as well.
National Stormwater Day Webinar Information
Overview: This webinar will bring together stormwater professionals to recognize leading stormwater champions, celebrate various stormwater awareness efforts across the country, share priorities and activities on stormwater led by EPA, provide an overview of the newly established EPA Stormwater Centers of Excellence for Stormwater Infrastructure Technologies (CESITs), share updates on the 2025 ASCE Infrastructure Report Card for Stormwater, and celebrate the Water Environment Federation (WEF) 2024 MS4 Award winning program in the City of Alexandria, VA. This event will also celebrate the life and contributions of John Whitescarver who was instrumental in the development of the EPA NPDES program and who established the National Stormwater Center after his tenure with EPA.
